as these are quite big (5in edge) I cheated and made them as a 3 piece construction with a factory axe head for the hammer end and a laminated edge piece. the pieces was stick welded together and...

Really cool axe heads! Love the filework around the eye. I bet they are carving axes, at least, that's what I'd do with one.
